Working with the MITRE Corporation and the Virginia Economic Development Authority SKA was contracted to generate a concept design for a National Cyber Security Center to be presented to the Governor’s office as a potential site for a GSA proposed National Cyber Security Center. The project is designed to be 500,000 sf and incorporate offices for Homeland Security and the FBI. The mission of the facility is to work with private industry, primarily the strong technology industry in northern Virginia, to effectively address and coordinate cyber security efforts. The building is designed as two bars connected by an atrium space. The bars are connected at all floors to promote collaboration between the two agencies, while at the same time giving each agency a defined space.
